Kotowaza Talk
On the table are multiple Iroha cards that contain Japanese proverbs (Kotowaza) from the Edo period (1603-1868). Visitor/participants are invited to view the cards and pick one of the proverbs on the card that they would like to respond by writing any of their associations with the proverb. The responses included the experience of applying the lesson from the proverbs in their lives that resulted in a positive outcome or their opinions on the traditional sayings, whether they are still relevant or not to the contemporary life.
